I am, as the blog may give it away, a woman in science. I started my scientific career at the University of Sussex studying Physics. Whilst Brighton, a vibrant and fantastic city, will always have my heart, my love for nanotechnology dragged me westwards along the coast to the University of Southampton. Here I completed my PhD and remain as a research fellow today. I have two great passions in my life; science and working towards gender equality. These join together harmoniously in a celebration of women in science, engineering and technology. With this blog I hope to demonstrate all the wonderful events I have been exposed to in a true celebration of women in science, in Southampton, the UK and even the world.
